problem dividing canvas on NT

I am using 2.22v09 on NT, but I think this problem has been around for
me for a few versions. I create a TBrowser, display a histogram via the
TBrowser, then clear the window and divide it via the properties menu.
The divided window is drawn, but then there is a memory fault and root
terminates.

This same procedure does not crash on unix (Solaris in this case).
