electron.C on Linux

Peace. Ok I finally got root compiled and working on Linux 5.1

Did anybody get the tutorial at
http://www-sldnt.slac.stanford.edu/nld/documentation/Tutorial/canned.htm
to work on LINUX?

I tried and I get this error

root [o] .x electron.C
Fatal in <operator new>: storage exhausted
aborting

then a core dump

If anybody has had success with this on Linux, let me know.
