in my previous mail, the linkdef and dict file were created just like
you did it (it is all hidden by the small makefile i use).

i also have the segfault when i use your exact commands...
so i can reproduce my problem :-)) , but you can't reproduce mine.
( if nobody else in the list observes this behaviour, there must be an
inconsistency in my libc/glibc/g++/ld/whatever.
i'll let you know know when i got it running. )
