Hang Up on Porting the Stream Portion

I've got a hang up on porting the stream portion of CINT to C++Builder.
The supplied BorlandC++ support doesn't compile so I am going to perform
the port to BCB's libraries.

But I have a quesiton. Just what is it I am trying to accomplish here with
the stream portion. Can anyone give me a little heads up.
