I fixed this problem or comlained too early at the roottalk.
I have compiled ROOT with the known changes for SuSe(no glibc,libtermcap-path, etc)
to avoid the segmentation violation. Using the old versions of LibEG.so and
LibEGPyhtia.so from "Linux version 2.00/13 for Redhat 4.2 and gcc 2.7" with the
libPythia.so and libf77.so (downloaded from hpbrun.cern.ch) solves the described
problems and ATLFast runs on this system.
